Background

Dublin City University (DCU) is one of the leading 500 universities in the world and among the top 200 universities in Europe. Enrolling its first students in 1980, DCU is one of the top 50 Young Universities and home to 17,500 students. Located in Dublin’s Northside, the main campus spans over 202,000 m²(50 acres).

We provide in-term and out-of-term services across the following locations:

Glasnevin (Main) Campus
St Patrick’s Campus
All Hallows Campus
DCU in the Community
Main Restaurant (part of Glasnevin campus)

Our role is to provide a safe, professional, efficient and friendly cleaning service to three campuses, with buildings of various finishes. We must do so ensuring compliance with DCU’s high standards and minimal disruption to staff and students.

Scope of Service

We provide daily cleaning services, consumables, and adhoc industrial cleaning services across the campuses. This includes deep cleans of external and internal areas, such as the library. As part of our sustainability offering, we are introducing an electric vehicle and Big Belly Bins (solar powered) to site. We will also be introducing an additional Waste Operative and additional Site Supervisor later in the contract to ensure we maintain the high standard we introduced by Grosvenor across the campuses.

Additionally, we have introduced brand new equipment to site. Operatives have already told us this has made a significant difference to their day-to-day-tasks.

Events take place throughout the year. As the mobilisation took place place just before the Christmas period, we worked around festive events on all campuses. The Grosvenor team maintained constant communication with DCU, working collaboratively to deliver a seamless transition.

We have received excellent feedback from the client so far and look forward to continuing this key relationship.
